The Obstetrical Anesthesia Department is very
happy
you have chosen to deliver your baby at
St. John’s Mercy Medical Center !

Prior to delivery, we feel it is important for all patients to be familiar with possible pain relief options for labor and for the physicians of our group to be familiar with your  medical information.  If you have not had epidural anesthesia before, it is required that you complete one of the following anesthesia information/education options.

Anesthesia/Information Options

1.  Anesthesia Brochure  -  available by contacting our office at (314) 469-6800,

e-mailing us at questions@obepidural.com,
or visiting our website at www.obepidural.com

2.  Anesthesia Video      -  Available by clicking on the link to the left

3.  Anesthesia Website      www.obepidural.com

If you have had an epidural in the past, anesthesia education is optional.  However, it is necessary for updated medical information to be filed with our office prior to delivery.  These forms are available on this website, by contacting our office at (314) 469-6800 or e-mailing us at forms@obepidural.com.

We ask any patient with significant medical problems to call the office in order to be referred to one of our anesthesiologists.

Please call our office should you have any questions or concerns regarding this process.

Thank you for your cooperation.  We look forward to meeting you.
